Biography

Raffaella Benetti born in 1961 in Rovigo, where she still lives. The artist’s interests look to the philosophical and literary tradition with particular interests in some topos of western culture as the theme of Vanitas, often addressed looking for a contemporary declination. She attended the European Centre of Venice for the Conservation of Architectural Patrimony, also in Venice at the A+A Gallery Slovenian Public Exhibition Center the Course in Curatorial Practices and Contemporary Arts. After she attended the course on Architecture and Art for Liturgy at the Pontifical Atheneum of St. Anselm in Rome. These areas of study allows the opening to different languages: painting, sculpture and photography. A research aimed at defining a unique poetics coherent over time even if characterized by a ductile writing and in continuous translation.
